![]() I would have liked it if they could have bumped the set up by like 5 dollars and given us an army builder or 2 like a HW colored Hunter or a pair of purple Honor Guardssince I plan on buying multiple of the set and would like to army build something on the side. This time, they are based on their appearance in Halo Wars 1 instead of Halo Wars 2. For minifigs, take a wild fucking guess who they are. I get this one is trying to be accurate to HW though so I don't mind here. I do think the Guasscannon looks great this time but I do hope they bring back that one they used for the H4 and H5 Guasshogs at some point. Let's hope the back bumper isn't as fragile this time either. And instead of just a single Warthog variant, they give us extra pieces to either make the Warthog a Guass Flamehog, a Chaingun Flamehog, or a normal Guasshog/chaingun Hog. It seems like they finally fixed the overly wide wheelbase that the CTF Trashhog and Trashhog Run Hogs had. I really thought this set was gonna be disappointing but boy was I wrong. But other than that, This set is fantastic.Īh, Red Team Rescue. And not really a complaint but something that would have gone so well with this set is extra helmets and chests for the other ODSTs so you could buy like 7 of this set and have like 3 unique Squads of ODSTs with a Swarm of drones to fight them. Also, the Drones are missing paint on their feet and the ODSTs could really use some visor outlines picked out since past ODSTs that lacked that don't really look that good but this says final color/decoration may vary so hopefully the final product at least fixes that. These 20 dollar packs feel a little overpriced and while the minifigs you get are great, I think at least one more such as another Drone would have made that price more worth it. Tarkov is also seen holding a bio-foam canister which looks perfect.I do have a couple gripes with this set. they come with brand new ODST backpacks and the suppressed SMGs use a different piece to make them look less bulky. I remember in 2016 and expecting us to get a set with blue ones to go along with the green and red ones from the previous year. Blue Drones have been a long time coming. ![]() 4 stunning looking ODSTs, one of which being Tarkov from one of the H3 ODST trailers, up against a couple Drones, both being in brand new colors, blue and white. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how badass that name is? Anyway, man this set is nostalgic and brings back memories of that awesome ODST Troop pack set from 2015. Other than that, this is one of the best sets in this year's line up imo. I wish they would have just stuck to the color they always used for storm Elites but if it looks good in person, I won't mind. I am also a little concerned about the color they used Gek's skin as there are a bunch black marks and whatnot in the plastic. The spark pieces holding it up are an interesting choice but not a bad one Ngl, this set is even better than my prediction and the only problem I have is that they didn't paint the grey parts on the torso and helmet. The build is a classic styled Covenant Ghost which looks amazing thanks to the molded hood piece and lack of firing missiles. We also finally get the long-overdue orange Storm Grunt as well as Gek 'Lhar who can double as a normal blue Storm Elite which we haven't gotten since 2015. ![]() We get two Marines that are both unique but are both actually cool af unlike the shoulder pad-less marine in the Recon Getaway. This is honestly one of the best army builders Mega has made. Starting with the smallest and one of the best, Ghost on Requiem. ![]() Anyway, this is gonna be long af so bear with me. 2019 was also great but it really felt like it was missing something and one of the sets is (imo) one of the worst Halo sets ever. Ngl, 2022 is one of the best years for Mega Halo in a long while.
